Can you tell us why Poker is your favourite casino game?
Well Poker is the all time casino great. There are so many versions of it and it is such a highly skilled, intense game. I just love the atmosphere at a good game of Poker with everyone trying to work out who has which cards and what their next moves will be. Personally I love the classic Texas Hold’em although occasionally I’ll enjoy a game of Stud Poker. With Texas Hold’em I found the basics fairly straightforward to get my head around and of course there will always be new strategies to learn and ways to improve my game. I like the way that the game balances luck with real skill, it means that you really can influence the way the game goes, but sometimes it is just out of your grasp.
Why is your preferred casino for playing Poker?
There are so many poker rooms and casinos on the internet I had to really think when it came to choosing a place to play. In the end I went for its all round high quality service. They’re clearly a responsible casino and aim to make your experience as good as possible. From the sign up process to the actual game play everything is clear and easy to use. When it comes to placing money in my account or taking out my winnings there are loads of different ways of doing it which makes life really easy (not to mention the deposit bonuses!). They offer a good range of poker games and I’ve never been in a situation where I can’t find others to play with. So overall I found that offered me exactly what I was looking for in an online casino.
Describe your most memorable experience playing Poker:
I think that has got to be the first time I won a really tough hand. Unfortunately I can’t really remember all the details anymore but I will never forget the high when I finally won the pot. I remember that I was dealt an 8 and a 9 and of course I immediately thought of getting a straight. The flop produced a jack but nothing else of any help to me. However, the turn card produced a seven and then I couldn’t believe my eyes when the river card was a ten! Throughout the round I was so nervous; the other guys were all betting quite heavily so I was sure that they were onto something as well. Lucky for me they must have been really inexperienced players as they were just bluffing and I walked away with the pot.
